10 steps to overcome the issue of diversity in tech:

1
Implement an inclusive hiring process: This includes actively recruiting candidates from underrepresented groups and training hiring managers to recognize and address unconscious bias.
2
Establish diversity and inclusion goals: Set specific and measurable goals to increase diversity within the company, and regularly track progress to ensure that these goals are being met.
3
Develop a mentorship program: Pair employees from underrepresented groups with experienced mentors within the company to provide guidance and support as they navigate their careers.
4
Create employee resource groups: Encourage employees from underrepresented groups to come together to share their experiences and provide support for one another.
5
Offer diversity and inclusion training: Provide regular training for all employees on topics such as unconscious bias, microaggressions, and cultural sensitivity.
6
Address pay disparities: Conduct regular audits to ensure that all employees are paid fairly and that there are no gender or racial pay gaps.
7
Promote a culture of inclusivity: Foster an environment where all employees feel valued and respected, regardless of their gender, race, or background.
8
Encourage employee feedback: Regularly gather feedback from employees on their experiences within the company, and take action to address any issues that are brought to light.
9
Partner with diverse organizations: Collaborate with organizations that are working to promote diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, such as Women Who Code and Black Girls Code.
10
Hold leaders accountable: Hold leaders within the company accountable for creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, and hold them responsible for meeting diversity and inclusion goals.
