Shared congeniality. Trust. Mutual respect towards each other’s abilities and contributions. But most importantly, we have the ability to come together and complete tasks with integrity. And that all starts with honest and open communication.
Commvey LLC started with friendship and deep conversations about a desire to change the world. We brainstormed about how we wanted to make an impact in the world and the problems we wanted to solve. We knew we could both bring different skills, viewpoints, and experience to the table; talents that complement each other’s. So we decided to begin working together to found Commvey LLC to change the world for the better. And as women in business together, we knew we could champion the cause for women and marginalized communities to amplify their voices through our work; to push for their rights, equality, justice, and inclusion.
Both of us hold our values as the core of our business fundamentals, and are proud to be a company that has strong ethical standards and values at its core. We value diversity and inclusion, and it is an important part of our company culture and DNA. We carry these values with us and use them when we approach work. We both have mutual respect for each other which helps us collaborate effectively and move the company forward in its mission to make the world a better place. It also fosters a great working environment and atmosphere for our team.
We maintain our partnership by operating through practicing patience and grace. We have so many things happening in our lives, and our business is just one of those things. We do our best to practice patience, which is particularly hard for us because both of us are type A control freaks. We also throw in forgiveness, because not everything works out as it’s meant to.
The fact that we have different experience backgrounds is an awesome plus side. One of us comes from comms and marketing, the other of us comes from program management and training. Together, our talents combine to form the best team possible to get the job done! But we can not only get it done with integrity and grace, but get it done and hold on to our values in the process. That’s what makes you great partners too – you don’t let the other person down, no matter what.
